We are opening up our Reading Room and inviting you to a special online event designed to explore books that someone found so dangerous, so challenging, or so powerful that they wanted to shield the world from.
The Reading Room is a virtual gathering where we celebrate our freedom to read, share provocative ideas, and discover why literature remains one of our most powerful tools for empathy and understanding.
This isn't a lecture; it's a conversation. We're creating a respectful space to listen, learn, and share the stories that have been silenced.
How It Works:
Choose Your Book: Find a banned or challenged book that is meaningful to you. (Need inspiration? Check out the American Library Association's Top Challenged Books list.)
Join the Conversation: Log on to our virtual meeting room on 18 December at 11 am PST.
