A Single Thread Unraveling

No one noticed a single thread unraveling,
and now she’s little left to wear or share.
Several spools are emptied of their thread,
she doesn’t have a clue of where her mind
begins nor ends, she feels the need to sew
and stitch, she doesn’t want to fall apart.
Buttons pop loose, a strap is torn away.
Inside the intellect, the many that she is
offers conflicting testimony on the stand.
There isn’t a jury or a judge, but only her,
naked, alone. And no one ever cared
to notice threads that kept unraveling.
