Fog

by Nicole Christine

I looked outside the window,

the moon was hiding behind the trees-

Foggy morning view through an open window, with treetops below and warm light creating a calm, misty mood.

She whispered and said, wait for me

on this Winter evening,

where you see your breath

beyond the horizon-

Winter sleeps, preparing for spring

Love is wild and filled with passion

You ask yourself: am I happy?

The birds have flown South,

when my time comes

I hope I have an answer

and that happiness will come my way.

As of now, I sit with time, and I stand still

Waiting and searching for the path to come

I do not want to waste another day

visiting this world

in which I’m restless and estranged

through the fog, I trust with every

ounce of me that

dawn will come again
