Tired Eyes

My eyes are tired,

tired of looking at you,

tired of looking at the world.

They long for a break.

Take me away to clear blue skies.

Take me away to sand filled beaches.

Take me away to the moon, to Mars.

Yes, take me away to anywhere but here.

See you tomorrow,

or however long it takes me to recover.
