You were born knowing
you are one
with the sun’s light,
moon’s radiance,
the calm dawn opening
to birdsong.
What happened along the way
to make you forget
your oneness
with the ancient oak,
the ocean’s tides,
the entire natural world?
Did no one help you
to remember
you are a sacred spark
that shines as bright
as the north star?
You came for a purpose.
You are precious
beyond measure.
It’s not possible for you to stray
from your intended path.
