I’ll Host a Banquet with Only an Invitation to Me

by Olivia Mahabir

To find myself again,

northern winds that see -

This sunshine blue sky that gleams,

Hand holding a bouquet of yellow daffodils against a blurred outdoor background. Bright flowers with a natural, serene mood.

Turning grey,

melting into this tangerine memory,

bridging this Monday afternoon,

Daffodils and lotuses sprouting -

under this cool December wheat,

These heavy sighs melt away -

As I look up and into me again,

To be and To do -

With walking strangers,

Eating on railings,

Staring at docks,

Sleeping on fences,

To find myself in everything -

To find myself - to live again,
