Warm Showers

by Kim Lefort

A man once told me

to take my showers cold

It’s better for the health,

he says.

But my body aches

My skin is tight

My mind shouts

and my soul sometimes forgets to breathe.

So I

Soothe the little pains

and take my showers warm
